Private Capital Investments, LLC (PCI) was initially launched in 2009 to advise family offices and family-owned businesses on their investments and strategy.

We have expanded our footprint and now also advise companies and funds and invest our own capital. With an extensive global network and over 40+ years of collective legal and financial services experience, PCI is able to develop strategies and solve client issues often not understood by traditional private banks, money managers, lawyers or business development professionals.

Katherine founded PCI while she was working in Geneva, Switzerland in 2009 when she realized there was a need for personalized investment services for family offices beyond typical brokers, bankers or wealth managers.

Currently, she is Head of the Investment Committee for Beyond Impact Fund II, a venture capital fund that invests in global, growth stage alternative protein, food and materials companies – including plant-based foods, cultivated meats, fermentation-enabled products and other alternatives to meat, seafood, dairy and eggs.

Katherine is also a Senior Director of Venture Funds at TEDCO, the State of Maryland’s Venture Capital Fund. Katherine is also an Angel Investor interested in environmental and impact investments and has personally invested in and supported female and diverse founders of companies and funds. She is a board member of Citrine Angels and has syndicated Angel and Venture Deals.

- Investment Committee for University Impact, a venture capital social impact fund and DAF

Mr. Ritchie is principal and general counsel of PCI. He has extensive experience representing corporate and individual clients in their U.S. and international business and personal interests. He has sourced and structured deals and has performed on-site due diligence internationally for U.S. and international family offices, startups and entrepreneurs. He has assisted individuals with trusts and estates, as well as asset protection, recovery and estate liquidation. Past deals have focused upon direct investment and expansion opportunities including agriculture, hotel, hospitality, biotechnology, entertainment businesses, real estate, consumer products, manufacturing, logistics and infrastructure.

Alexander managed the family office of his own family and served as General Counsel for a US family office in Nevada and Geneva, Switzerland.
